HOW THE TRUST COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Trust collects personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, apply to become a Friend or Patron of the Trust, make a donation to us or otherwise provide us with personal information. We may also receive information about you from other people, if a third party (such as a friend or colleague) refers you to us or to our website. Conversely, if you provide us with personal information about other people at any time, please ensure that you have their authority to do so.
The personal information we collect includes name, postal and email addresses, contact telephone numbers, details of any donations made and whether Gift Aid can be claimed on these. For those who are Friends of the Trust we also record details of the dates on which membership begins and ends.
WHAT THE TRUST DOES WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Trust will use the personal information which it holds for administration purposes, to keep you up to date about the work of the Trust and to further our charitable aims, including our fundraising activities. The Trust considers this processing to be for legitimate interests pursued by the Trust. If we wish to make any significantly different use of your data we will contact you so that you may choose whether or not you agree to such new use.
Please note that, from time to time, we may have to share your information with our service providers and agents but this will be only for the purposes stated above and we will not pass your personal data to any marketing or similar bodies.

You may request a copy of the information which we hold about you by writing to us at the address above. If you consider that any of the data we hold about you is inaccurate then please advise us and we shall ensure this is rectified.

SECURITY OF DATA
The Trust takes appropriate measures to ensure that the information we receive is kept secure, accurate and up to date and kept only for so long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is used. From time to time we use Mailchimp and Dropbox. These are both American Companies. We have, however, checked their privacy policies and, if any information is held by them outwith the European Economic area, this is protected under the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement.
Access to personal data is restricted to a limited number of Board Members and is fully password protected. However, the transmission of information over the Internet is never 100% secure so while we try to protect your personal information, we can’t guarantee the security of any information you submit to us via our website or via any social media platforms.

The Trust uses cookies so that visitors to our website can interact with it successfully.
